Volt
Telecom Group employs Registered Communications Distribution
Designers (RCDDs), who demonstrate expertise in the design,
integration and implementation of telecommunications transport
systems and their related infrastructure components. These
employees are experts in voice, data, video, audio and other
low-voltage control. RCDDs are responsible for creating
detailed design of new systems as well as integrating the
design into an existing system.
RCDDs
are part of a training and certification program provided
by BICSI, the Building Industry Consulting Service International.
RCDDs demonstrate proficiency in the design, integration,
and implementation of telecommunications transport systems
and related infrastructure components. They are tested on
the contents of BICSI's Telecommunications Distribution
Methods Manual. BICSI offers a host of different training
and certification programs.
Volt
Telecom Group not only employs RCDD and BICSI-certified
personnel, but we have BICSI-certified trainers on staff
who provide BICSI training to both internal as well as outside
student technicians. Volt Telecom Group can meet your training
needs at our BICSI Training Center
in Farmingdale, NJ.
In
an attempt to forge standards in the telecom industry, a
small group of people from various telephone companies and
manufacturers thought it would be good to have a forum for
building industry consultants (BICs) in which to discuss
concerns and share ideas. In 1977, BICSI (Building Industry
Consulting Service International, Inc.) a professional,
non-profit association was formed and incorporated. BICSI
established its registration programs to provide a level
of assurance to the industry and to consumers.
